Marta Fofi is an Italian artist and designer who lives and works in Ibiza.
She uses bold, vivacious colours to define her eclectic style that speaks of identity with an ironic touch.
She likes to think that people enjoy looking at her artwork and that they share the same pleasure she experiences in creating it.
She likes to play and her work is a reminder that we must not take ourselves too seriously, and in order to create our own liberty we must seriously get in the game.
She works mainly with textiles as her means of expression and she experiments with techniques of hand printing that allow her to transfer her designs onto the textile.
Unlike drawing where corrections can be made, in printing there is that element of non-control that renders the possibility of making an error implicit, and she believes that the beauty lies in this imperfection.
She has taken part in a number of national and international art exhibitions and she enjoys collaborating with other artists.
